FAQ — GRADE

What if our data sheet is wrong?: GRADE screens against the values on your data sheets, so a wrong sheet produces a wrong screen — the same as it would for your rep reading it. What GRADE adds is traceability: every value shows the exact line it came from, so a bad sheet is easy to spot and fix, and every past run tells you what it used. It does not "correct" your data silently.
What happens when a product is missing data for a constraint?: It is flagged unknown and set aside for a rep to check — never counted as a pass. Missing data is surfaced, not guessed. This is deliberate: a silent pass on incomplete data is the exact failure mode we refuse.
Who is liable for the recommendation?: Your rep is, because your rep approves every send. GRADE is a drafting and screening tool; it does not send anything on its own and does not replace professional judgment. It gives your rep a defensible starting point with the reasoning attached.
Does the AI make things up?: The screening decision is not made by AI at all — it is deterministic SQL against typed columns. The model only ranks products that already passed and drafts prose, and every value it uses carries a verbatim source quote or is rejected. It cannot recommend a product that failed a hard constraint. See How we test.
How much does our IT team need to be involved?: Little. GRADE is a hosted web application; there is nothing to install. Getting started means loading your catalogue (we help) and inviting your reps by email. No integration with your systems is required to get started.
Does it learn from our use?: Yes, in one honest, scoped way: when your reps record what a customer actually bought, that becomes a measured-accuracy number and can suggest a case to add to your evaluation set. That improvement is scoped to your data alone. We do not use your content to train models for, or provide services to, any other customer without your written consent — it is a commitment in our terms.
How is this different from our ERP or product database?: Your ERP stores products; it does not read a customer's paragraph, turn it into typed constraints, screen against them with reasons, and draft a reply. GRADE sits in front of your catalogue and does the qualification work — the matching and the writing — with provenance your ERP was never built to provide.
