What GRADE is, plainly.
GRADE is software for specialty-chemical producers. It reads an inbound technical inquiry, screens the producer's own catalogue against the inquiry's hard constraints using deterministic logic, and drafts a reply a sales rep approves before anything is sent.
The company exists because the person who can answer a technical inquiry correctly — the application chemist or senior rep — is the most constrained resource in a specialty-chemicals business, and most of their day goes to work a machine can do exactly: matching stated requirements against a catalogue, with the receipts to prove it. GRADE does that narrow job well and leaves the judgment to the human.

A note from the founder
I built GRADE because I watched good technical salespeople spend their best hours doing a lookup. A customer sends a spec — a particle size, a melting point, a "must be PFAS-free" — and someone senior reads it, walks the catalogue in their head, and writes back. That reading is judgment worth paying for. The walking is not; it's a filter, and a filter should be exact and instant, with a reason for every product it rules out.
So GRADE does the narrow thing and refuses the broad one. It turns a hard requirement into a database filter, not a guess, and it hands the human a shortlist with the source line behind every value. It will not tell you a product is suitable, or safe, or compliant — those are judgments and they stay with your people. It drafts; a named person approves; nothing is sent on its own.
What I will not claim: that it replaces your experts, that it "understands" chemistry, or that it is finished. It is software doing one job carefully, and this site says exactly what it does and does not do. If that is the kind of thing you want, talk to us.
